A HALLOWEEN fun day is raising money for a disabled children’s charity.

The Witches and Whizzards family fun day is being organised by Whizz-Kidz – a charity that provides disabled children with wheelchairs that fit their active needs.

The event will include Halloween-themed face painting and cake stalls as well as music from Express FM, a bouncy castle and a scary fancy dress competition.

There will also be a raffle with prizes including a stay at Old Thorns Manor Hotel, a games console, tickets for family days out and hundreds of pounds worth of shopping vouchers.

As well as providing kids with mobility equipment, the charity also runs a scheme to allow disabled children and young adults to meet up and socialise.

Organised by the charity’s partner the Southern Co-operative, the fundraiser is taking place at Portsmouth College, in Tangier Road, Copnor, this Saturday.

Entry is free and open to all members of the public from 11am until 3pm.
