THE generosity of the community will help refugees living in tents in freezing winter conditions.

The small congregation at Hambledon Methodist Church has rallied round to collect more than 150 boxes of clothes.

The clothes will be transported to Brighton tomorrow to join other items that will be taken to war-torn Iraq. The campaign was started by Brighton mum Samara Levy, who was compelled to help when she saw refugee children walking through snow in flip-flops.

Judy Clementson, a member of the church, said: ‘The response has been phenomenal.’
