Hampshire car dealer dies in fire

A CAR dealer has died in a fire.

The body of Graham Lowe, the director at used car dealership Cars of Swanwick Ltd, in Bridge Road, Park Gate, was found inside a burnt out BMW 4X4 near his home.

Crews from Hamble and Hightown fire stations were called to tackle a car fire in Windmill Lane, Bursledon, on Tuesday morning.

It was not until they had put the blaze out that firefighters found the 57-year-old’s body.

His family have released a statement through the police, which read: ‘Graham, who was also known to family and friends as Ralphy, will be deeply missed by everyone.

‘He was a popular and friendly person who could always put a smile on someone’s face.

‘Graham was the life and soul of the party and will forever be in our hearts.’

Police are not treating the death as suspicious.

The case has been referred to Winchester Coroner’s Court and an inquest is expected to open in coming days.
