WARINGS staff will be seeing red as they help raise money for a hospice at home scheme.

This will be the second time members of the construction company will take part in the Rowans Hospice’s Ruby Slipper Day on Friday, February 10.

Staff will be wearing red and baking red-themed cakes to raise funds for Dorothy’s Dream.

The scheme gives terminally-ill people the chance to spend their last few days in the comfort of their homes.

Managing director Philippe Jouy said: ‘At Warings community and charity is our passion, which is why we are glad to be taking part in such a worthwhile scheme.

‘The Rowans Hospice has been our charity of the year since 2010 and staff are constantly thinking of innovative ways to raise money for it.

‘Last year our contribution helped towards setting up the hospice at home service and has been a success.

‘The money we can raise this year will help to repeat that success.

In all the target for the hospice at home scheme is £1m, and there is about £250,000 still to be raised.
