THE best of British cuisine will be celebrated for an Olympic-inspired family event.

Sure Start centres in Waterlooville, Havant and Gosport will be hosting cookery workshops by The Organic Cookery School, a not-for-profit organisation aiming to promote healthy eating.

The event is part of Love British Food 2012 and aims to give families the opportunity to prepare a feast using British ingredients.

Director and founder of the Organic Cookery School, Lucy May, said: ‘We are delighted to be working on this project which will be a celebration of the fantastic family cookery programmes we have been able to run in these centres this year thanks to Hampshire Learning and The Big Lottery Fund. We have some fantastic recipes planned.’

The sessions take place at Trospacc Children’s Centre and Crookhorn Lane Children’s Centre on July 27. Haven Children’s Centre will be hosting a session on July 28.

For further information call Lucy May on (01428) 787594 or 07966 334193.
