A PHOTOGRAPHY competition has been launched to celebrate the Olympic Games.

Organised by Hampshire County Council, the Spirit of the Olympics is a contest where budding snappers are being asked to take pictures at one a of a number of locations.

These are 10 Culture-all attractions and include country parks, historic venues and museums, wildlife havens and Sir Harold Hillier Gardens in Romsey.

Winners will have their photo displayed in an exhibition at the Winchester Discovery Centre from September 19 to October 10.

To take part applicants need to upload a photograph illustrating one of the Olympic values – friendship, excellence, respect, equality, inspiration, determination and courage – to the Culture-all Facebook page by August 29.

A full list of the Culture-all venues can be found online at hants.gov.uk/culture-all and the Facebook page to upload the images to is facebook.com/cultureall
