BANDS are wanted to take part in a gig in an arts centre.

As part of the BBC’s Get Creative Campaign, the Spring Arts and Heritage Centre in Havant plans to host a gig celebrating regional talent.

The venue is looking for bands of all genres, spanning across rock, reggae or ska and will give them the opportunity to perform live in the centre’s main hall.

The selected bands will be given £50 towards their expenses, a live recording of their performance and a crash course in technical and marketing support.

The centre is looking for bands based in Havant, Portsmouth, Southampton, Fareham and Chichester who have created their own original material.

To take part in the Get Creative Campaign bands should email an 80-word description of themselves, high resolution photo, weblinks to their music, and full contact details to programming@thespring.co.uk.

All submissions must be sent by September 24.
