THEY’VE been singing sweet harmonies for 40 years.
And at the weekend, members of Havant Pitchpipers came together with other barbershop-style singing groups for a special celebration marking how long the group has been going. A party was held at the Bedhampton Social Hall Centre and everyone got together to sing songs.
Certificates were presented to Havant Pitchpipers’ founder member Marilyn Penketh for her years of service.
Louise Wells, who has performed with the group for three years, said: ‘It was a very special occasion.
‘There are still members performing who were also here when it started 40 years ago.’
