FIREFIGHTERS took a break from their usual duties to wash cars for charity.

The fire crews, from Havant fire station, stopped by at Wickes car park in Havant on Saturday to raise funds for The Fire Fighters Charity.

Motorists were invited to take their cars along and have them washed in return for a donation to the charity.

Soap suds and sponges were the order of the day as the firefighters rolled up their sleeves and got to work.

Tomorrow, people will be able to get their electric blankets checked for safety at Waterlooville Fire Station in Forest End. For more information and to arrange for your electric blanket to be checked, call 01962 833358.
