A couple’s caravan suffered extensive damage when the Hayling tornado smashed it into a tree.

Debbie and Tony Hayman today sat in the wrecked vehicle as they described how the tornado hit Ilex Walk.

Tony said: ‘It was blowing a hell of a gale.

‘Our shed disappeared and then the caravan was pushed right over and into a tree.’
