FAULTY medical equipment caused the fire alarm to sound at a health centre.

One crew from Gosport fire station was called to Rowner Health Centre, in Rowner Lane.

A faulty piece of medical equipment set off the smoke alarm, and everyone evacuated the building.

The incident happened at 10.30am yesterday.

Crews turned off the alarm.
