TIME is running out to get nominations in for the St John Ambulance Everyday Heroes awards.

The ceremony celebrates friends, family, colleagues, and even strangers who have saved lives or championed first aid.

St John chief executive Sue Killen said: ‘The awards give us a chance to celebrate and honour ordinary people who have done extraordinary things.

‘We’re looking for anyone who’s gone out of their way to help people through first aid – from lifesavers, to campaigners, to teachers, to fundraisers.’

‘Every year I’m moved by the amazing nominees and their inspiring stories – they are all living proof that first aid can save lives. If you know someone who deserves recognition, nominate them for an Everyday Heroes award.’

This year’s finalists will be invited to an awards ceremony in July at the Lancaster hotel in London.

The deadline for nominations is 5pm on Saturday, February 28 and anyone interested can go to sja.org.uk/everydayheroes
