PEOPLE are being advised to take care during the hot and humid weather this weekend.

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SCAS) is expecting a busy weekend and is advising the public to think about the treatment they require and how to assist with it.

People are being advised to attend local pharmacies if they need medication, and to drink lots of water to reduce the risk of dehydration and avoid alcohol and drinks containing caffeine.

People are also being reminded not to jump into water from bridges or piers.

If you need medical help and it’s not a life threatening situation please call 111.
