TAKE part in a world record-breaking attempt and get tested for chlamydia today.

Solent NHS Trust is hoping to test as many sexually-active people as possible in the space of 24 hours.

It is hoped more people aged 15 to 24 will get checked for the infection.

If detected, a simple course of antibiotics can usually clear the infection.

But if left untreated then it can cause problems such as infertility in women.

To take part in the challenge, people can get tested at the following Portsmouth locations:

· University of Portsmouth, Winston Churchill Avenue, until 5pm.

· Liquid nightclub, Stanhope Road, from 9pm to midnight.
