Runners needed to help fund research

FURTHER dates have been added to encourage people to become lifesavers and donate blood.

NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) organises donor sessions for the region, and is looking for more people to come forward and help.

Here is a list of further sessions that are coming up:

n Monday, August 4, St Jame’s Hospital, Locksway Road, Portsmouth, from 10.30am to 1pm, and 2.30pm to 5pm.

n Tuesday, August 5, Sarisbury Green Community Centre, The Green, from 1.30pm 
to 3.25pm, and 4.30pm to 7.30pm.

n Thursday, August 7, Jubilee Hall, Little Shore Lane, Bishop’s Waltham, from 1.30pm to 3.25pm and 4.30pm to 7.30pm.

n Friday, August 8, Festival Hall, Heath Road, Petersfield, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm, and 4.30pm to 7.30pm.

Anyone aged between 17 to 65, weighing more than 50kg (7st 12lbs) and in general good health could potentially start saving lives by becoming a blood donor.
