A SOUTHSEA 13-year-old due for an operation on Thursday that could help him walk unaided for the first time has spoke of his ‘nervousness’ at undergoing the procedure.

Daniel Findlay, who has cerebral palsy, is in America thanks to the generosity of readers who raised enough money to pay for the surgery.

It is hoped the operation could help reduce the rigidity in his muscles, making him more comfortable and possibly enabling him to walk without help.

He told The News: ‘I feel a bit nervous.’
