A UK food manufacturer has recalled batches of its bread products due to allergy concerns.

Boulder Brands UK Ltd has issued the recall of Udi’s seeded products because the sunflower seed ingredient in these products may be contaminated with sesame seeds

This ingredient is not mentioned on the product labels of Udi’s Multi Seeded Bagels, Multiseed Bread and Multi Seeded Rolls, meaning that the products are a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to sesame.

The potentially affected products are:

Udi’s Multi Seeded Bagels (350g) with Best before date: 22 February 2016 or earlier

Udi’s Multi Seeded Bread (450g), Best before date: 22 February 2016 or earlier

Udi’s Multiseeded Rolls (300g) with Best before date: 22 February 2016 or earlier

The company said in a statement: “If you have bought any of the above products and have an allergy to sesame, do not eat it. Instead, return it the store from where you bought it for a refund.”
