MORE than 500 women stopped to find out more about breast screening.
A breast screening team was in Palmerston Road, Southsea, and staff were giving out cupcakes and business cards telling women how to check themselves regularly.
Cam Todd, senior public health development manager for breast screening, said: ‘It was refreshing to hear so many women are aware of the importance of breast screening.
‘We hope by having our branded bus and the street team in Southsea, we managed to remind women to go along to their screening when they are invited by their GP.’
If you have concerns, do not wait to be invited to a screening appointment. Speak to your GP.
