BRIGHT colours and plumage will be the order of the day as hundreds of exotic birds will be displayed at an annual show.

The Solent Cage Bird Society is holding its South Coast Open Show on Sunday.

Organiser Terence Sayers, from Cosham, said: ‘There’ll be almost 1,000 birds on show, it’ll be one of our largest shows to date.

‘There will be some of the most exotic birds you ever did see, plus some of the rarest birds in the world.’

The show will take place between 2pm and 4pm at Portchester Community School, in White Hart Lane. Entry costs £1 adults, children free.
