A TEAM of nurses ran, rowed and cycled for 24 hours at Queen Alexandra Hospital.

The physical challenge was held to raise money for two charities.

The Princess Mary’s Royal Air Force nurses at the Ministry of Defence Hospital Unit, at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, completed their task yesterday.

Donation buckets were left for people to put money into.

Cash will be split between two causes – the Rocky Appeal, and the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.

Mick Lyons, coordinator of the Rocky Appeal, said: ‘We saw a lot of support from visitors coming into the hospital and hope to raise more money than last year’s event.’

The money raised during the challenge is being added up.
