A CHARITY has launched its largest-ever stock appeal in an attempt to boost its stock.

The British Heart Foundation stock appeal, the ‘Great British Bag-athon’, will be running at Whiteley Shopping Centre until Saturday, September 28.

The appeal is the charity’s biggest stock donation campaign, aiming to raise a million bags of unwanted items throughout September.

Neil Carter, shopping centre manager, said: ‘The stock donation event is the perfect opportunity to have a clearout and donate unwanted items, raising vital funds to support those in our community who are living with heart disease.’

Preston Davies, from the British Heart Foundation, said: ‘We’d like to urge people to help us reach our 1m target by donating.

‘Coronary heart disease is the UK’s single biggest killer and every bag you fill is a bag full of life-saving research. Every donation really makes a difference.’

Donations can be left at the drop-off point at Whiteley Shopping Centre next to the management office.
