EVENTS are being held across the area for people to see if they have high blood pressure.

Blood Pressure UK is holding information days across the Portsmouth area after figures revealed 23,400 people in the city are unaware they have high blood pressure.

As part of Know Your Numbers week, which starts on Monday, the charity is urging people to go to the events.

One of them is at Cascades Shopping Centre, on Monday and Wednesday between 9am and 5pm. The second event is at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, in Clarence Street. It is on Thursday between 9am and 5pm and on Sunday between 1pm and 3pm.

The final event is at Tuckers Pharmacy in London Road in Waterlooville, Monday to Saturday between 9am and 6pm.
