SCHOOLCHILDREN, students, businesses and other organisations are being encouraged to hold a hat-wearing day for charity.

Brain Tumour Research is asking people to take part in its annual Wear A Hat Day, which takes place on March 28.

Ian Watson, head of fundraising, said: ‘The income generated from Wear A Hat Day will support our mission to fund new Centres of Excellence like we have in the University of Portsmouth.

‘This will lead to better outcomes for patients – from improved awareness for earlier diagnosis, to more effective personalised treatments and targeted drugs.’
