IN LESS than a week, ‘daring’ Doris Long will abseil down her tallest structure yet.
The 99-year-old has taken part in 14 abseils to raise money for The Rowans Hospice.
At 100m (328ft), Spinnaker Tower in Gunwharf Quays, will be her most daring yet.
Her challenge takes place on Saturday at 1pm.
Ali George, corporate and trust relations at the hospice, said: ‘Once again I am in awe of this incredible lady for taking on this challenge at 99.
‘Doris is truly an inspiration to all of us.
‘Thank you to Gunwharf Quays for enabling Doris to fulfil her ambition of abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower.
‘And also to our corporate partners for picking up the gauntlet, to join Doris and help raise vital funds to support people affected by life-limiting illnesses in Portsmouth and south-east Hampshire.’
