People at risk of
developing type 2 diabetes or who have a family member with the condition have been invited to a new prevention programme.

Chichester District Wellbeing is offering free training and awareness programmes on Monday, September 21 at 7.15pm and Thursday, September 25 at 9.30am.

Both sessions will take place at Westgate Leisure Centre, in the Ravenna Room.

The aim is to provide a relaxed and friendly environment to pass on information and advice on how people can slow or eliminate the development of type 2 diabetes.

Afterwards, people will be offered further support.

Councillor Eileen Lintill, who is cabinet member for community services at Chichester District Council,
said: ‘The Chichester Wellbeing team is extremely knowledgable and supportive to clients.’
