ADVICE about diet is being given to Muslims with diabetes as they prepare to celebrate a major religious festival.

Eid, the official end of Ramadan, takes place on Wednesday, August 7.

Jill Steaton, Diabetes UK south east regional manager, said: ‘The occasional sweet treat can be in a healthy balanced diet.

‘You can make some small changes to make traditional recipes healthier.’
