FINANCES are the most likely cause of stress and anxiety for adults in the south east.

A survey by insolvency and restructuring trade body R3 and ComRes found that 27 per cent of people feel personal and household finances have an impact on their mental health.

Four per cent of the 2,000 people surveyed also said finances of other family members are having the same effect.

Health issues, an individual’s or family members’ job, UK or global current events and relationships with family complete the top five.
