VISITORS to Queen Alexandra Hospital can find out more about guide dogs.

In April this year, six volunteer guides from QA, in Cosham, and two members of staff took part in level one guide dog training.

It helps them guide blind or visually-impaired people around the hospital,

Now, to support Guide Dogs Week, which runs from October 5 to 13, an information stand will be in QA.

This year’s theme will be ‘high visibility’.

Between Monday, October 7, and Friday, October 11, the charity Guide Dogs will have a volunteering and information stand in the main atrium.

And on the Monday, a guide dog owner will be visiting the super-hospital.
