FIRST aid training courses are being offered across Hampshire.

St John Ambulance has announced its programme of community first aid training.

The Essential First Aid for All Ages courses will be held at the charity’s training centres in Havant and Gosport.

The course, which is aimed at anyone over the age of 12, focuses on a range of emergency situations involving infants and children, as well as those involving adults. These include choking, bleeding and stopping breathing.

South-east regional schools and community training co-ordinator Marita Edwards said: ‘You never know when you might need first aid, it could be at home, at work, on holiday or just out and about. It can all happen in a second.’

The courses last for three hours and cost £30.

They will be held at:

· St John Ambulance, Fraser Road, Havant, on Saturday, July 5, from 10am.

· Unit 32, Regents Trade Park, Gosport, on Saturday, April 12, from 10am, and Saturday, June 21, from 9.30am.
