FRIENDS and family of a man suffering from terminal cancer are holding a charity football match.

The group of men are to take on the Horndean under-18s in the match tomorrow, to raise money to send cancer patient Pat Gower, from Portsmouth, on a weekend away.

Close friend Keith Stevens organised the match after Mr Gower was diagnosed with cancer six weeks ago.

He said: ‘We want to raise some money to give Pat a treat.

‘If people want to come along to the match and make donations, that would be great.’

The match will take place at Horndean playing fields in Five Heads Road, from 11.15am.
