HAVING finally settled down after months of planning and playing football the full total raised for the charity Football for Cancer (FFC) has been revealed.

Generous donors put £42,700 in the coffers which will go to Naomi House and Jack’s Place. As well as a huge football tournament and a sponsored family walk, there was also a ladder climb of the equivalent height of Mount Everest.

That raised £516.50 for FFC and £573.50 for the Fire Fighters Charity.

Gavin Stockley, from FFC, said: ‘I’m delighted to say that we were overwhelmed with the success of the event. We had many people through the gates and a wonderful atmosphere was felt from beginning to end.’
