COUNSELLING sessions for people suffering from dementia or memory problems are being held.

Age Concern Hampshire has launched its new free Time to Talk service, offering professional sessions in Fareham and Wickham.

It is open to anyone aged 50 or over in Hampshire, with memory loss or dementia.

Age Concern Hampshire south east health and wellbeing manager Kym Devine said: ‘This new counselling service forms part of our wider services for people with dementia and memory loss.

‘These include specially-trained daycare staff at our wellbeing centres.

‘We also have our Knowing Me project which helps individuals express and record their unique life story so that it can be communicated more easily with the various people who work with and support them.’

The Time to Talk service is available on (01962) 868545.
