PEOPLE can find out how well their lungs are working at an information day.
The Nuffield Health Fitness and Wellbeing Centre, in Alexandra Park, Northern Parade, Hilsea, is holding a free lung health event.
As well as having a lung capacity test, people will also be able to check their lung age and try simple exercises to improve lung function and get the most out of a workout.
Chris Jones, professional head of physiology for the centre, said: ‘Good lung function is vital for optimum health and wellbeing, but smoking, being overweight and even poor posture can reduce lung function.
‘Having your lung function measured can help you understand how effectively your lungs are working, and simple exercises and lifestyle changes can help to maximise it.’
The event takes place on Tuesday, July 24, from 1pm to 7pm.
People do not need to be members of the gym to visit and do not need an appointment.
