KEEN crafters are being asked to use their talents to make charity goods.

The Rowans Hospice have set up a craft room at the Furniture Warehouse in Marshlands Road, Farlington, Portsmouth.

It will be used for upcycling scraps of material, cards and other unwanted odds and ends, in to handmade items to sell in The Rowans Hospice shops.

Hayley Hamlett, volunteer service manager at The Rowans Hospice Trading Company, said: ‘There is a wealth of talent in our community and we would like to invite individuals to help create new things from old.

‘At the same time there will be an opportunity to socialise with like-minded people with a passion for craft.

‘We have a number of opportunities for card-makers, knitters and stitchers to join us and have fun. All materials will be provided so there is no cost involved; the only requirement is enthusiasm.’
