THE health trust that provides some community services in the Portsmouth area is to hold its first annual general meeting.

Solent NHS Trust formed in April 2011, and deliver a range of services, including mental health services and stop smoking help.

Its first AGM is due to take place this Thursday, in Ferneham Hall, Osborn Road, Fareham, from 6pm to 8pm.

Chief executive Dr Ros Tolcher said: ‘Our AGM is a really good opportunity for anyone with an interest in the NHS to come and find out about what we do as an organisation that provides specialist care locally.

‘We are proud of what we have achieved since our formation and have got great plans for our future, which we will be discussing.’

The AGM will include a health fair providing information from a host of different Solent NHS Trust services. There will also be a panel of directors from the trust to answer questions from guests.
