A RECRUITMENT day to hire nurses for a children’s hospice is being held to provide more care.

Naomi House and Jacksplace, hospices for children and young adults, near Winchester, takes in people from Hampshire who have life-threatening illnesses.

It has announced details of a recruitment day, taking place tomorrow, for those interested in working as a nurse for the charity.

It runs from 10am to 7pm.

June Morton, director of human resources, said: ‘Everyone working at Naomi House is here for the same reason – to make a real difference to the children and families we care for.

‘It’s a true team.

‘We have 150 staff and 800 volunteers who are proud to belong to an organisation that makes a real difference.

‘I hope you’d like to join us and make that difference.’
