STAFF, residents and their friends will all be joining together to celebrate the first birthday of a care home.

The Harry Sotnick House, in Cranleigh Avenue, Buckland, will have been open for one year on February 15.

And to celebrate they are holding a birthday party.

Activities on the day includes wine-tasting, pamper sessions including massages, manicures, make-up sessions and appointments with the hairdresser.

There will be entertainers, a balloon artist, a disco and food to keep everyone in the party spirit.

Manager Gary Briggs said: ‘We are passionately committed to dignity and choice and we put our residents’ wishes at the heart of everything we do.

‘We have had a wonderful first year and all the team and their families are looking forward to sharing a day of fun.’
