A GROUP of nurses will step out this weekend to raise money for two charities.

The friends from the Spire Hospital in Bartons Road, Havant, will set off from Salisbury on Saturday for a day-long trek to Winchester.

To reach their goal, they will need to complete the 24-mile journey along the Clarendon Way.

The walkers, whose number include hospital general manager Louise Sullivan, are fundraising for Breast Cancer Care and The Alzheimer’s Society.

They have been training with regular walks together covering eight to 15-mile distances.

Ten women will take part – the eight pictured above plus Jenny Hollington and Catherine Trevithick.
