VIEWS are being sought on how to provide care and support to people with a physical, neurological, or sensory impairment, to lead a more independent life.
The Positive Partnership strategy has been developed by Hampshire County Council working with people who use care and support services, their carers, Clinical Commissioning Groups and service providers, and is based around people’s needs and not conditions.
Cllr Liz Fairhurst, who is in charge of adult social care and public health, said: ‘People want to live as independently, for as long as possible, and to have choice and control over the way they live their lives, including over the care and support they receive.
‘We want this strategy to truly reflect the needs and expectations of people who are living with a physical, neurological or sensory impairment and for it to enable all involved in their care and support to work together.’
