A CONSULTATION has been launched on the way people receive care and support.

The new Care Act, which comes into force in April, means care and support in England is changing.

West Sussex County Council is keen to hear people’s views on how it charges people for services and assessments that are carried out for carers, as well as those receiving support.

The changes are designed to help people have more control over their care and remain independent for as long as possible.

The consultation runs until February 11.

The proposals will also be presented from 6.30pm to 8pm on January 26 at Chichester College’s Conference Hall at Westgate Fields, Chichester.
