Have your say

THERE’S no test for it, its causes are largely unknown and it can’t yet be cured.

So that’s why talking to other people who are experiencing Parkinson’s disease provides such comfort.

Individuals and families affected by Parkinson’s disease meet every month to enjoy a cup of tea, a natter and a presentation at a support group on Hayling Island.

The group, set up by islander Marianne Randall, meets on the first Tuesday of every month at St Mary’s Church Hall.

This week is Parkinson’s Awareness Week and the theme is Find A Cure.

Elizabeth Bush, 69, of Eastoke Avenue, attends the group. She said: ‘I find it most helpful to have contact with other people in a similar situation.’
