TWO non-executive board members are being sought for a health trust.

Solent NHS Trust, which provides community and mental health services for Portsmouth and south-east Hampshire, is appealing for two members.

Board chairman Alistair Stokes said: ‘The roles are an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate to share their talents and expertise to make a difference to the
lives of people in their community.

‘Candidates will need to have a genuine commitment to patients and the promotion of excellent health care services.

‘We are aspiring to become a foundation trust, and have in the last year received good ratings from the Care Quality Commission over the standards of our services.

‘This opportunity would, therefore, fit someone with an ambition to contribute to the improvement of quality and the provision of best value NHS services.

The role requires someone who is able to commit a minimum of two-and-a-half days each month.

They will receive £6,157 in payment per year and must live in Hampshire.
