PEOPLE suffering from a certain type of heart condition are being invited to a support group meeting.

The next Hampshire Cardiomyopathy Support Group (HCSG) meeting will take place at the Portsmouth Rugby Club.

It follows a recent meeting where 70 members met at the Marriott Hotel, in Southampton Road, Portsmouth, to hear presentations by Dr Paul Kalra, from Queen Alexandra Hospital, on current research programmes.

The evening had been organised by Paul Griffin, a founder member of the HCSG, and Dawn Lambert, a heart failure specialist nurse, at QA.

The next meeting takes place at the rugby club’s clubhouse, in Norway Road, Hilsea, on November 12, from 7pm to 9pm.
