A CELEBRATION supper was thrown for 15 runners who are raising money for The Rowans Hospice.

The hospice in Purbrook hosted the pasta supper last night for 12 of the 15 people that are taking part in the Brighton Marathon.

Their sponsorship will go towards helping the hospice with its day-to-day running.

They were given new running vests with transfer letters so they can add their names on the back.

The marathon takes place on April 15.

Ali George, events fundraiser, said: ‘We are hugely proud of all of our runners for taking on this challenge for us.

‘I would like to wish them all well and thank them for doing this. The Brighton Marathon is only in its third year so we are excited to have 15 people running for us.’
