SALESMAN Simon Geddes was ‘gobsmacked’ when he found out he had won a new car for just £1.
Mr Geddes, 53, of Orchard Close, Hayling Island, entered a car raffle for The Rowans Hospice.
Richmond Citroen donated a new C1 model and people paid £1 to enter, with money going to the hospice.
Mr Geddes said: ‘The hospice carry out invaluable work for the community, and I only entered to support the hospice.
‘I was gobsmacked to have won and very grateful for my new car.’
The raffle raised £29,500.
Ian Young, of the hospice, said: ‘Thank you to Michael Nobes and the team at Richmond Citroen for donating a new C1 for a third year in a row.
‘Thank you to everyone who helped sell tickets and those who bought tickets.’
