STREET teams will be in Portsmouth giving out information about smear tests.
Cervical Cancer Prevention Week starts next Monday, which urges women to find out more about the procedure.
Stands will be in Cascades shopping centre, in Commercial Road, Portsmouth, and Cosham High Street, on Wednesday, January 23.
On Thursday, January 24, the team will be heading to Fratton and North End.
Cervical screening can prevent around 75 per cent of cancers in women who have a regular smear test.
Women should have the test even if they are no longer sexually active or have gone through the menopause.
Invitation letters are sent to women aged between 25 and 64 years old.
Women between the ages of 25 and 49 are invited for cervical screening every three years, while women aged 50 to 64 are called every five years.
If you have never been screened, then you can make an appointment.
