AN ART gallery has lined up a host of events to celebrate taking part in a dementia festival.

The newly-formed Chichester Cultural Learning Partnership has launched the Living with Dementia Festival to encourage those living with dementia to engage art and culture in the region.

Throughout May there will be a range of dementia-friendly events in and around Chichester including arts discussions and crafts workshops, interactive history sessions, cultural tours and talks.

These will be provided by seven partners which includes Pallant House Gallery, Chichester Cathedral, Chichester Festival Theatre, Fishbourne Roman Palace and Gardens, The Novium, The Otter Gallery and The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum.

Head of learning and community at Pallant House Gallery Sandra Peaty said: ‘Providing creative activities and opportunities for all members is a central ethos of the community programme here.’
