YOUNGSTERS at a centre that helps children with hearing problems were happy with a donation of two new trikes.
The gift was given by a local branch of an Inner Wheel group, which is an all-female association.
The Inner Wheel group is celebrating its 90th anniversary, and so district teams decided to donate wheelchairs, strollers, tricycles, bicycles – anything with a wheel.
Mary Charles, president of Cosham Inner Wheel, and her members, selected The Elizabeth Foundation, in the grounds of Queen Alexandra Hospital, as their chosen charity for the year.
They fundraised to buy two trikes for the pre-schoolers, and presented them with the gifts.
Alison Robinson, fundraising manager at the foundation, said: ‘It has been lovely for our children to enjoy the trikes and for the ladies from Cosham Inner Wheel to see their enjoyment.
‘Our toddlers and pre-schoolers took turns to climb on the trike and have a go.
‘I know we will definitely get a lot of use out of these, so thank you to the ladies.’
