THE newly-formed volunteer group that transports blood to hospitals in the area is to hold a ride out to mark its launch.

The Wessex region of Serv, which is a blood bike organisation, operates across Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire.

Riders will meet at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham, to present the pathology lab with its service agreement.

Afterwards, riders will meet volunteers from the other two counties and go to their new headquarters in Eastleigh to be presented with their constitution by F1 expert Murray Walker.

To join the ride out go to Hendy Honda car park, in Clement Attlee Way, Northarbour, at 10am on April 1.
