THREE lovely ladies have been recognised for bringing happiness to their care home.

The Parker Meadows Care Home, in Fareham, held an awards ceremony on Thursday to recognise its residents

Margaret Davis, 90, originally from Southsea, was crowned Home Champion due to her great sense of humour and her ability to cheer everyone up.

Runner-up prizes were awarded to Pearl Shave and Enid Murray for their contribution to life at Parker Meadows.

Pearl, 88, was nominated because despite suffering ill health she always cares for other people and puts their needs before hers.

Enid, 84, was nominated for being welcoming and keeping people company over a cuppa.
